The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division, Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention.
This position serves as the Immunization Nurse Consultant providing nursing leadership and oversight to a wide range of private and public health immunization providers throughout the state of Montana. This position conducts Vaccines for Children compliance and quality improvement visits, assists with preparedness related grant objectives, provides clinical consultation to staff and providers regarding vaccine administration, provides education to partners, collaborates with the surveillance and epidemiology staff on vaccine preventable disease outbreak investigation and control, coordinates perinatal hepatitis b prevention, case management and follow up in collaboration with local health jurisdictions, and helps to promote activities intended to increase immunization rates.
