Our IT Systems Architect is responsible for documenting both hardware and software platforms for DEQ applications, coordinating design and integration of systems, planning future system needs, and working closely with IT and DEQ programs to ensure technical requirements are identified and communicated. In this role, you'll:
- Craft the future of environmental technology: Help select appropriate design solutions and collaborate with other IT roles to ensure compatibility of systems components; analyze systems for stability, interoperability, and scalability of system architecture; research and develop architecture requirements for new technology adoption.
- Leverage your skills: Resolve top-level system issues typically spanning multiple layers of technology.
- Become a security champion: Develop and integrate system security measures, disaster recovery protocols, and system-capacity requirements.

The IT Systems Architect position includes a career ladder for professional development and pay progression. Qualifications • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with an emphasis on information technology and/or software application engineering. Relevant Bachelor's degree preferred. • Four (4) years job-related experience in software applications engineering or other closely related field of work.
