· General knowledge of standard English, including grammar, spelling, composition, word usage, and punctuation.
· General knowledge of state government and the legislative process. General knowledge of Montana legislative bill process preferred.

The minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required for entry at this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, with education or experience in government, reception, and keyboarding preferred.
This position will generally be for 6- 8 hours a day up to 6 days a week, although 40 hours a week is not guaranteed. Saturday work may be required. In general, hours will vary daily within the timeframe of 7 am to 5:30 pm; depending on the workload. Must be able to have the flexibility to adjust work schedule with little to no advance notice. This position could terminate prior to the end of session. Some overtime could occur during peak periods - hours worked over 40 in a week will be compensated at time and a half.
Training will be mid December, with work shifts offically starting January 6th, 2025 and may continue through the end of legislative session (end of April - beginning of May)
