JOB OVERVIEW – The goal of this position will be to enhance the Agency’s adherence to using Evidence-Based practices (EBP).
- They will be responsible for using the Correctional Program Checklist, for the purposes of measuring how well programs adhere to research. This includes technical report writing.
- Additionally, there will be continuous quality improvement made in the use of our risk and needs assessment tools, facilitated groups, and other EBPs in the institutions and community.
- Further, this position will ensure the Department and the contracted facilities are using risk and needs assessments to ensure appropriate programming referrals are made to best meet the identified needs and positively impact desistance and recidivism.
- This position will be based out of central office in Helena, MT, but also conduct onsite audits in both secure institutions as well as treatment and prerelease programs across the state.
- Responsible for overseeing, reviewing, and facilitating initial, recertification, and ongoing training related to EBPs.
- Assist in updating, reviewing, and determining applicable policies and procedures for MDOC.
